2014 Goi Peace Foundation/UNESCO International Essay Competition

The purpose of the competition is to empower and engage youth from all parts of the world in shaping the future. It encourages society to listen to what young people have to say about global issues, considering that we can all be part of the solutions needed to build a better world.

This year, the last year of the ‘United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development’ (2005-2014), the theme is ‘My Role as a Citizen of Earth’.


About the competition:

  •  Essays may be submitted by anyone up to 25 years old (as of June 15, 2014) in one of the following age categories: a) Children (ages up to 14) b) Youth (ages 15 – 25)
  •  Essays must be 700 words or less in English, French, Spanish or German; or 1600 characters or less in Japanese, typed or printed.
  • Attractive cash prizes and certificates.

This is  a great opportunity for to exhibit your writing skills  blended with  a sustainable way forward for humanity and how you wish to fulfill your role as a citizen of Earth.
